    The simple answer for why there are no scabbards: there are no scabbard bones! We did try scabbards just weighted in positon, but it looked horrible when the swords were drawn as we couldn't get the animation looking right without the scabbard being moved backward as the sword is drawn. Going back and adding a scabbard bone would have required redoing every animation in the game, so we went with the swords being displayed as they are in the final game.
