Problemi grafici con nvidia 8800gtx - video impazzito

Salve a tutti, posto qui il mio problema sperando che qualcuno mi dia una dritta e ringrazio già da ora.Qui sotto è quello che succede sul mio schermo quando sono in battaglia con medieval2



praticamente quando meno te l'aspetti mi salta la conessione e lo schermo diventa tutto così come in foto.Premetto che in 10 gg che non avevo la linea il pc e crashato solo una volta alla stessa maniera facendo una campagna in singolo.Faccio parte del clan Templari e quindi potete capire che non posso andare avanti così,salta una partita si una no circa.
Il pc è configurato e assemblato da me:
intel 6600 dual core 2gb,piastra asus, ram 800,sc video nvidia 8800gtx,sc audio xfi professional hd 250 ecc

Aggiungo anche per precisare che tutti i giochi da me provati sia essi nuovi o vecchi vanno tutti perfettamente.Non ho provato i precedenti della total war ma confido di farlo già da domani.

Anche io ho una 8800, però gts.
Una scheda che non vale i soldi spesi. Potentissima, ma il gioco non vale la candela. Meglio la 7950.
Comunque, ti dico la mia.
Abbiamo una workstation simile (intel core 2 duo 6700, 8800gts, Asus P532-E, doppio HD raid 0, 2GB ram 800mhz).
A me Medieval 2 gira senza problemi. Qualche sporadico CTD ma è connaturato a tutti i giochi TW!
Rome ugualmente gira bene (sempre con settings massimi).
I problemi arrivano con Medieval 1 e Shogun. La scheda sembra non identificare il movimento del mouse, ho aperto un thread tempo fa qua e su vari forums, anche quelli del sito ufficiale internazionale. Nessuno ci capisce nulla.
Prova un po' se ti crea lo stesso problema, in modalità battaglia.
Io sono in contatto con la Nvidia che ha definito "interesting" il mio caso!!!!!!
Detto fra noi.....abbiamo esagerato! Ci siamo buttati su una scheda ancora non stabile!

Si in effetti hai ragione, so benissimo che ci vuole un annetto circa perchè una scheda del genere si stabilizzi anche coi driver,d'altra parte ho cercato di prendere il meglio in circolazione.Comunque i crash avvengono solamente in battaglia,e lo schermo diventa come in foto, salta la connessione e si blocca tutto, bisogna riavviare altrimenti lo fa da solo.Ho installato Rome per vedere se mi da problemi, inizio subito una campagna e qualche partita in multy , comunque con gli altri giochi non ci sono problemi tutti settaggi al max con una fluidità unica.Grazie della risposta ciao

Fossi in te proverei tanti driver fino a trovare quello più stabile. Credo sia l'unica soluzione. Purtroppo i driver Nvidia fanno spesso questi scherzi.

Per quanto riguarda i giochi vecchi, dovete provare coi driver vecchi. Purtroppo è così per tutti i giochi: quando la tecnologia avanza c'è sempre la possibilità che i giochi e i programmi vecchi non funzionino più con OS, driver e Pc nuovi.

per me non dipende dai driver video non compatibili poichè gli ultimi sono fatti apposta per ottimizzare ed essere compatibili anche se win xp non li riconosce. può essere che hai forzato una voce delle impostazioni dei driver nvidia in maniera errata, poichè magari hai cercato di avere ancora piu grafica in med2. prova a rimetterli tutti su default

Condivido. Se non ricordo male l'ultimo driver ufficiale per la 8800 non è certificato anche se ufficiale!
Per quanto riguarda i drivers vecchi....il problema è che quelli per le schede precedenti, tipo 7950, non sono compatibili!!!

Rispondo a Sirius riguardo i driver, si non sono certificati perche modificati da terze parti, comunque il gioco è stato provato anche con gli ultimi scaricati dal sito ufficiale e pure i precedenti,nonostante i problemi rimangono.
Detto questo passo a notizie più rilevanti, ho chiesto ad amici 2 giorni fa se sapevano qualcosa riguardo il problema, visto che le configurazioni sono pressochè uguali ,qualcuno mi dice che ci sono noie con la scheda audio da me installata con i giochi.Do un'occhiata in internet cerco x-fi professional, e trovo conferma.i produttori dicono di aggiornare il bios delle s.madri e attivare il dual channel.
Da domenica gioco senza scheda audio nel pc, il gioco non è mai crashato nemmeno su partite in multy da 2h anche facendo l'host.
L'unica pecca da me commessa è non aver dato un'occhiata al bios che in effetti è vecchio ,sinceramente ho sempre controllato tramite programma asus che evidentemente non funzia o forse ho sbagliato ad usarlo(mia colpa da niubbo).Oggi aggiorno il bios e rimonto la scheda poi vi farò sapere se è risolto completamente.

Si certo lo farò, premetto che dopo aver rimontato la scheda e aggiornato il bios della motherboard ho continuato la campagna e dopo un tot di partite il pc è crashato comunque continuo a testare e se continuano i crash la ritolgo, testo senza scheda e in caso se va tutto bene, monto la vecchia audigy così vedo se è effettivamente quella

Il pc crasha ancora ho levato la scheda audio e per un pò di partite sembrava andasse bene,poi sono ricominciati i problemi, ho aggiornato i driver video ho disinstallato quelli audio ma niente da fare.Ho pure installato windows vista per provare ma purtroppo in multy mi dice negoziazione nat fallita o nessuna risposta dell'host e pure quando hosto io!Se qualcuno mi sa dire come riuscire a giocare in multy su vista lo ringrazio anticipamente.Appena mi sarà possibile proverò a sostituire la video e vediamo che non sia effettivamente questa, oramai per que che ne so le ho provate tutte.Ciao a tuuti

La scheda grafica è nuova? Potrebbe essere difettosa, prova a usare un programma come BurnInTest oppure PC Mark e vedi se ti segnalano difetti nella scheda video coi loro test. Oppure prova con un'altra scheda grafica e vedi se hai gli stessi problemi.
E poi, forse dico una cavolata, sicuro che il monitor sia ok? Non è che magari sballa sotto certe frequenze di refresh?
Purtroppo a volte coi PC certi problemi possono essere parecchio rognosi.

Bene come da tuo consiglio ho scaricato entrambi i programmi e fatto i test, tutti perfettamente eseguiti senza rilevare errori.La scheda è nuova penso comunque se fosse difettosa mi darebbe problemi anche con altri giochi.I refresh sono supportati dal monitor(930 bf samsung) sono installati i driver del sito ufficiale.
Ripeto, appena avrò una scheda video da provare farò l'ultimo tentativo, altrimenti

Temperatura della scheda in-game?.....sicuro che non possa essere la ventola difettosa che magari si blocca e manda alle stelle la temperatura della scheda provocando i crash?

Diciamo che la temperatura della scheda e stata una delle prime cose che sono andato a monitorare, comunque aprofitto rispondendo a te, dicendo che il problema è stato risolto penso in maniera definitiva ed ho aspettato qualche giorno per non essere e spero più smentito!
Dopo aver eseguito il pc mark ho constatato un errore:
WMV Video Playback sul paragrafo scheda video.
Dando un 'occhiata sui vari forum, ho scaricato ed installato il windows media player 11 e il WMEncode e da quella volta medieval non è più crashato!
Ringrazio tutti quelli che mi hanno dato delle dritte, e se per caso dovessi riscontrare ancora lo stesso problema non tarderò a postare.Ciao a tutti e
